Day Care Parent Testimonials
I learned of Kiddiesville Daycare through a friend of the family.
I am one of the many moms that has to work full time outside of the home, and so when it came time to find daycare for my first child, my son Aidan, I was heart-broken for the simple fact that I did NOT want to leave my little baby with a stranger. I had cried for weeks at the thought of returning to work slowly approaching. Luckily, one of my best girl-friends was a SAHM and she agreed to babysit Aidan for me while I returned to work. Life was great. Who better to watch your child, if you aren’t able to stay at home, than a good friend that you know and trust? Unfortunately, when Aidan was 6 months old, my friend became ill with several health issues, and she was not able to continue caring for my son. That very same day of receiving this earth-shattering news, I had taken my step-daughter to her summer daycare provider, Charlene / Kiddiesville, and when I walked in, Char had asked me if I needed daycare for Aidan because she had just gotten notice that a child would not be returning after that week. God works in mysterious ways. I immediately told Charlene what I had just found out and that YES I wanted that opening! My son was in Kiddiesville for 4 years. We just said our final goodbyes in August, Aidan has begun Pre-K.
Many of Aidan’s “firsts” / milestones happened while in Charlene’s daycare. First words, First steps, Potty Training, learning to swing, and most recently (and still a big deal)- Riding a bicycle with NO training wheels. Not to mention so many lessons learned, songs sang, stories heard, social interactions, and structure he’s learned along the way. My son is one of the most outgoing individuals I know, more than myself, and I would like to attribute much of that to his exposure and time spent at Kiddiesville Daycare.
I personally have developed a loving, trusting, and deep emotional connection with Charlene, and Karen, too. Like an extended family.
I would, without a doubt, stand behind a 100% satisfaction guarantee for anyone inquiring about Kiddiesville. - Erin D'Achino
When I was pregnant with our first child, Amy, I struggled to find suitable daycare arrangements. We had no relatives in the area and since we'd recently moved to the Baltimore area, we didn't know too many people. I ended up sending my 7-week daughter to a woman in our suburb who was recommended by a neighbor. After a few horrendous days there, I called the Baltimore daycare licensing office and requested a listing of providers in Dundalk near where I worked. After a few calls, I reached Charlene Ridge. Char said it was great timing because she'd been working only part time, but had recently decided to start offering full time daycare again. The next day I took my baby to meet her, and the rest (they say) is history!
A year or so later, Char and I were discussing when I might want to have another baby. I told her I thought we would wait another year or so to start trying., But she said she knew she would have an opening the following Fall, which was 10 months away, but than after that she wouldn't have another infant opening for quite awhile. I panicked - I couldn't even imagine not having both of my children with Aunt Char! I went home that night, told my husband we needed to consider having our children be closer in age, and I got pregnant a week later with our son, Trevor. Thankfully, both of my children were under the care and love of Aunt Char during their infant & preschool years before we moved to Michigan. So I can honestly say that I planned a pregnancy around Char's daycare openings - now THAT'S quality daycare!
